Descriptive Note

Contains an example of all standard forms used in connection with PEP (Project Employment Programme) projects. The Job Creation section was created in 1984 to increase Council’s involvement with Government subsidised employment schemes. This section was controlled by the Personnel Office of the Town Clerk’s Department, but most of the records were created by the Projects Coordinator (Maxine Goldsack) and the Training Officer (Steward Couchman. Some of the reports and correspondence in this series can also be found on the job creation files maintained by the Records Office of the Town Clerk’s Department (see series 1/5/5, file 91/1-91/7). Other records relating to Government subsidized employment schemes prior to 1984 can be found on series 1/5/5, file 41/4/3.
