Descriptive Note
Copies of statistics sent annually to the Registrar-General by the Town Clerk, giving total number of rateable buildings, inhabited dwellings, empty dwellings houses, stores or warehouses in which nobody sleeps, and dwelling houses in course of erection. The "remarks" column of these returns also list the number of hotels and boarding houses and the number of new houses and new shops erected since the last return.
