Descriptive Note

Photograph albums and accompanying information. Albums contain photographs of burial plots and memorials in Terrace End Cemetery, Napier Road, Palmerston North. Each album contains strips of 35mm negatives and contact prints, arranged in block and plot number in accordance with the layout of the Cemetery.

This project was commissioned by Andrew Middleton, Recreational Assets Manager of Services and Facilities Unit. The work was carried out by Brian Andrew of Palmerston North as a Taskforce Green project, supervised by Michell Lee of the Manawatu Resource Centre, Grey Street Palmerston North. The funding for the project was provided by the New Zealand Employment Service and the Palmerston North City Council The project commenced 9 January 1995 and completed 7 July 1995.

Albums contain an introduction page followed by a plan of the cemetery and a 'How the System Works' index. The negatives and prints are filed on opposite pages together with a list of the persons buried in each plot.
