Data maps and zoning maps prepared under the subdivision of K Nairn, (Town Planner, 1953-1973), for the District Scheme which became operative on 25 May and remained in force until October 1968. Published and unpublished records of the Provisional Town Planning Scheme, (prepared under the Town Planning Act, 1926) and the District Schemes, (prepared under the Town and Country Act 1953). Maps relating to first operative district scheme (1959-1968). NOTE: These maps are drawn on a new base map of the city (10 chains to 1 inch), prepared by the Planning staff about 1956. NOTE: This subseries is incomplete. Other maps are believed to have been destroyed by the City Planning Department after the third district scheme became operative in 1981.
