Descriptive Note

A series of cadastral maps (mounted on hardboard) prepared by the Valuation Department of Central Government and annotated by the staff of the P.N.C.C. Rates Office to show new subdivisions. The maps appear to have been in use from c1954 – 1974, when they were replaced by series 2/23/12. Each sheet shows the size and legal description of parcels of land within certain Valuation Rolls, together with valuation assessment numbers (written in blue) and street address numbers (written in red). A map of the city containing a KEY to the areas covered by each board is mounted on a separate (unnumbered) sheet of hardboard, (filed in front of board 1).
