Descriptive Note
Copy of the reports forwarded each year to the Commissioner of Crown Lands describing work done during the year, particulars of leases, statement of assets and liabilities, and statement of receipts and payments. The Boards controlled the Palmerston North Domain in Albert Street (the land known as Hokowhitu Park) and the Pohangina Valley Domain (commonly known as "Totara Reserve"). These reports were discontinued after 1953, when the accounts of the Domain Boards were incorporated into the accounts of the PNCC (see series 2/1/1). The PNBC was appointed as the Domain Board of the Palmerston North Domain in 1902 and the Pohangina Valley Domain in 1946.
