This poster contains a pictorial border, printed in red and blue ink, which includes representations of New Zealand and British flags, the names of major military campaigns, and female figures of Victory and Freedom
This poster does not carry the name of the publisher or printer. It does not appear to have been an official publication of the Palmerston North and Districts Soldiers’ Memorial Fund or the earlier Soldiers’ Memorial Committee. The poster may have been compiled and published by the Manawatu Patriotic Society, which agreed to hand a roll of honour to the Borough Council (“for safe custody and public inspection”) in 1920 (see PNCC archives 1/1/1, Vol. 9, Page 300).Two copies.
