A quilt created by Malcolm Harrison showing the silhouette of an individual in blue standing on an island watching pieces of a painting blow away with the wind. Signed by the artist and dated 1990.
Contains an orange background with orange bordering and patterned stitching. The obverse has a white background with multiple generic scenes in 18th century style in orange outline. The island holding the individual contains a poem: "Wind blew away the pieces of the rejected painting, only the lilacs retained an innocence."
The quilt was commissioned by Marilyn Brown, a Palmerston North City Council representative for the the Community Arts Group, in 1990.
